Recharge my camera's battery by cellular phone

Today's night, Simplebear and I went to see the 2009 Taipei Fireworks Festival. There were so many people that we spent almost twice times on traffic than the show. However, in the afternoon when we decided to go to this fireworks show, I found out that my camera's battery ran out of the energy.

Simplebear was so mad and sad. Suddenly, I took the risk to use my cellular phone to recharge the battery by using Alligator clip and it worked. Here shows the photo. I know the resolution is bad because I used the webcam to take the photo. (Why?? Did I said my camera's battery was out of energy?!) That's cool, right??

紅寶書17天計畫

今天的最新進度，是把最後核心字彙的40-41唸完，再加上複習進度。當然我並沒有完全遵照17天的方式，以每天3個lists進行，由於很多人說這個進度表是舊紅寶書，一個list裡面單字比較少，所以也有人改成2個lists。

　　當然中間途中，有時候也因為要去參加同學的生日派對，或是四週年慶祝，有把當天的新進度縮減到一個，但是我想說的是，我終於還是排除萬難的，把每天的進度喀完了！想不到我也做得到阿，有時候新進度加上舊進度最多可以到一天要念10個lists，不過還真的是撐下去了。

　　但是雖然如此，依舊還是很多字無法啃下去，有些字不管怎麼背，背幾次，一兩分鐘後，還是會忘記，所以接下來的任務，就是把這些字記熟，把背起來的字記更熟，然後就要加入實戰演練啦！

　　最後還是要說的是，我都撐過去了，相信很多人也做得到！（希望這次出征GRE能夠有好得成績阿！我真的不希望三萬塊換380！！）

Arduino

Recently, due to the need of my lab, we bought an instrument called basic stamp. It's amazing and easy even though I have never received any education about microcontroller. Although the program of basic stamp is free to download to use, it is not completely for linux system. As you can see in my blog, I began to use linux system recently.

So, I tried to find some key words such as basic stamp and C on google, and I found this page named Arduino, the Basic Stamp killer. In this page, it compares Arduino with Basic stamp. The best advantage of Arduino is that not only it is much cheaper than Basic stamp but also is cross platform which means that it can be programmed by C. I also found that there is a website called Arduino 樂園 written in my native language which contains lots of information about Arduino.

If I have a chance, I really feel like buying this to play.

smplayer無法播放：mplayer意外地結束，結束代碼1

我的筆電自從換上了ubuntu9.04就多災多難，一開始是觸摸板的問題(已經解決囉！)，後來發現smplayer無法播放的問題。

　　因此今天利用的一些時間google一下，用ubuntu9.04的好處就是，會讓人養成主動查資料的習慣（ＸＤ），終於在這篇SMPlayer Feisty deb packages and how to build them的page16看到了解決方法

Fortunately this is a problem very easy to fix. SMPlayer is trying to use an audio filter (scaletempo) which is not available in mplayer 1.0rc1.

Go to Preferences->General->Audio and select No for the option "High speed playback without altering the pitch".

You can also consider to use the new packages for smplayer and mplayer you can find in the smplayer site.
